This series of semi-abstract dance paintings were based on sketches done during dance
workshops and during life ballet performances and from photographs
of dancers.
I seeked to capture the essence of the dancers and their dance --their energy, strength and grace and the rhythms of their movements.
I chose the medium of acrylic and charcoal in the paintings to evoke the
