Being a constant traveller, I am fascinated with maps and layouts of cities. Modern cities laid out in grids simplify a traveller's life but loses some of the charm of the alleyways, nooks and crannies of older cities.

I am a great fan of the works of Mondrian. The progression of his work into the ultimate grid structure is somewhat akin to the development of layouts of cities.

Directions to Mondrain's is a play on map reading and on the "progression" of Mondrain's own work.
