Here Marcel Duchamp’s "house" has walls which simulates the shinning black corrugated sheets in Hotere’s “Aramoana” paintings.

Inside the house, the collage simulates Duchamp’s works “The waterfall”. The doors are meant to be only slightly ajar so that one peeks into the inner sanctuary to see the incongruous naked woman holding the lamp by the pool of water.
